FAQ
Common questions about her senses, watch parties, and streaming setup — so you spend less time in Discord DMs and more time with her.
Hearing & vision
How does she hear my YouTube / music?
In the browser she hears shared tab or system audio, not your whole PC by magic. Easiest path (free demo included):
- Tap the eye in chat.
- Pick a Chrome tab (YouTube, Netflix in browser, etc.).
- Check Share tab audio. That checkbox is her ears.
Session should say ears are live. If it says “Vision only,” stop share and try again with the audio box checked. To hear without her reading the screen, open Session → What she sees → pause vision (hearing stays up).
Can she hear my mic and the show at the same time?
Yes — different pipes. Your mic is conversation. Shared tab/system audio is co-listen (lyrics, dialogue, AudD song fingerprint when you ask “what song is this”). We don’t route the mic into media hearing by default — that would make her hear herself talking.
Do free users need a virtual cable?
No. Chrome tab + “Share tab audio” is the Shangri-La path. Virtual cable is optional polish for streamers who want a clean OBS / VTube Studio bus.
Streamers · virtual cable (optional)
Use this if you want game/desktop audio on a dedicated cable, keep her voice out of what she hears, and feed OBS / VTube Studio cleanly. Free hangouts can ignore this section.
Suggested layout (Windows)
- Install VB-Audio Virtual Cable (or similar).
- Route game / media output → CABLE Input (not her TTS).
- In Chrome, share Entire screen or the app window and enable Share system audio, or capture the cable path your OS exposes.
- In Session, pick Going live so this tab auto-mutes when OBS connects — you don’t get two Kiras in your headset.
- OBS: Application Audio Capture (or the cable) for the show; browser source / stage link for her avatar + voice.
- VTube Studio: mouth open from her voice bus only — not from the game cable — so the mouth tracks speech without music pumping it.
Rule of thumb: what she hears should not include what she says. That’s the whole point of the cable.
Why did Session say “Vision only”?
The share dialog didn’t include an audio track. Stop sharing, start again, and check the audio box. Entire-screen system audio is Chrome-on-Windows; macOS/Safari are pickier — prefer a Chrome tab with tab audio when in doubt.
Still stuck?
Open Session in chat (dashboard) → “Watch-party audio” for the short in-app guide, or reach out on Discord with a screenshot of the share picker and the Session ears lamp.
